Default Rough Country 6.5" lift

So my lift should be here today sometime and im wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks or just general advice to help me along in the install. Ive done alot of reading and Ive got pretty good general mechanical skills just wanting to see if id get any heads ups of problems i might run into. So if anyone wants to help or even post a few pics up id greatly appreciate it.

Thanks everyone...

Use generous amounts of PB Blaster on your rear leaf spring bolts and shock mounting bolts. Heck, it would probably be good to hit all your front control arm bolts too. Do this like a week before you install the lift and hit everything again a couple days before. You will need coil spring compressors if you don't have them already. Please get them and don't try to use ratchet straps or some other dumba** move I've heard of other guys using. You will also need a pitman arm puller. A set of the BIG jack stand that you can put on the framerails so you can let the suspension hang while you remove the old and install the new. if you can get the Jeep on a lift that makes the job much easier. Other than that just a good variety of regular SAE and Metric hand tools and of course a buddy or two to help you out that work for pizza and beer. That's about all I can think of for now.

Prepare for the worst hope for the best. Have a nice set of drill bits and taps handy because chances are you'll break the studs that hold the cross member in.

So its been slow progress but ive ran into a problem thats got me stumped... The front leaf spring bolts will spin but i can not get them out. I even went as far as to cut the body under the rear seat to make sure the nut isnt spinning inside the frame rail and it isnt. The bolt is just stuck...

Any ideas guys???

most likey seized in the bushing sleeve. the best way and fastest is to cut the bolt off as close as possible to the spring eye and buy new hardware

Long arm kit? I needed tap and die for for third cross member bolt and skid. I also had to drill out one of the holes for the cross member because it was a little off not allowing the bolt to go in.
My pitman Arm from RC was 'thinner' than stock at the splines and was told to put a big washer around it to compensate, not happy with it but works. If flex joints seem shot after 500 miles tighten them up before you call RC for replacements lol.

To put the coils in i dropped my axle to the ground with the truck on jack stands then put the control arms on and jacked the axle up.

Take your time, read the instructions, you dont want to have to do things twice. I used Seafoam Deep Creep for the first time and I like it much better than PB blaster its double the price but you get more out of a can.

Just some thoughts...
