Hit up pep boys or autozone, they usually have off the shelf lights that are adequate. +1 on going square, dont much like round lights on XJ's.

Harbor Freight... they sell a rectangle pair of lights for only $13 they are bright, come with decent wiring and switches (though I would add a relay for each pair of lights)

they are much better than the $20 a pair ones that are at walmart

they are made by NFL, a company that makes replacement OEM lights

here they are in action

I have a set of them on the front bumper. They are decent...for the price. The mounting sucks because the housing is plastic, BUT they do throw out a good amount of light!

If you are on a budget I would suggest those too since they are only like $12 bucks.

Na, glass. I got a set in place of my factory fogs. I've hit some decent branches with them and they haven't broke though they did when i hit a pheasant at 60......

Ericfx1984,
How'd you run the wires for your roof mounted lights?

Why do so many people say that round lights look bad on XJs? I personally love the look and my Hellas were really cheap when I bought them (40 a pair) and they're super bright!

This is what mine look like:
