Default Roof rack dimensions.

I'm trying to find a safari rack for my 98 xj with full length rails. I'm wanting one that pretty much covers the entire roof but wouldn't interfere with the hatch. I have absolutely no experience with roof racks on xjs I just recently decided I needed more cargo space for camping and such. Thanks.

I built one for my XJ and it was 48x60. If i had to do it again I would have done a 48X72.

This picture kind of gives you an idea of what the length dimension looks like sitting on top of an XJ.

Look at B Lee racks in the vendor section... specifically his trail rack..

It covers basically the entire roof without interfering with the hatch.

Looks just like mine and mine is a 98. Dont really matter what year it is anyways... The main focus was on the roof rack size? Not the "face" of a picture.

Unless everything was converted back to an older style xj that is not a 98.
