Hello everyone! Im just now getting started in the jeep world and I’m looking at a 3” lift from rough country with that being said is it reliable and worth the money? also would it be better to run 15x8 or 15x10 on a 31x10.50r15
or a 31x12.50r15 I wanna go for a little bit of offset but not too much maybe a half an inch of poke from the fenders My 96 Jeep cherokee sport
First off if you can afford it, dont go with rough country. I bought the same kit from them, replacing everything within 2 years. Their bushings are garbage, shocks were pretty much done, leafs were shot.
I pieced together my new set up, but if you are looking for a complete 3 inch lift look into RE, old man emu, or even rancho.
Whatever you do, buy a complete leaf not add a leaf
Also most kits dont have an adjustable trackbar, brake lines, or extended bumpstops so factor that in.
On a 31x10.5 15x8 will be fine, I run 33x12.5 on 15x8.
The wider tire you run the more backspace you'll want not to rub. (Depending on how much trimming you are comfortable with)
On 12.5 width tire I run 3.75 backspace and with trimming havent rubbed much.
You want 15x8s for a 31x10.50 a 15x10 would be to wide and have the tire bead stretched out. I have 35x12.50s on 15x8s. Don't get a Rough Country lift, go with Zone or Rubicon Express, and get the full leaf packs not an add a leaf.
