Hey there,

I'm swapping engines. Mine was 262.000 miles old and got cracked. I also started to have a problem (likely) caused by the injector pump.
I realised it's pretty much a perfect swap, however, the diesel injector pump attached to the Cherokee VM engine is of a different design to the Frontera VM engine.
I am currently unable to find a replacement Cherokee Bosch pump, so I was thinking of leaving the Frontera one attached to the engine in place. However, the plugs are slightly different. The Cherokee plugs are rectangular, while the Frontera ones are round. Wiring colours do not match :-(

Can anyone foresee a problem with me leaving the Frontera pump in place and jigging the wiring around? Surely the pump should perform the exact same function, timing, etc, regardless of vehicle it's used in?

I also know it's a long shot, but I was hoping someone may have a wiring diagram for the Cherokee pump. I can then attempt to find the wiring diagram for the frontera pump on their forums...
