If I retain the seat bracket from my 87, A ZJ seat will bolt to that bracket right? I don't care about the electronics. I read some write-ups but couldn't determine the answer.

 

This came up in a google search for ZJ seats. Don't know if you ever found your answer, but for anyone else wondering... They do not. The Renix jeeps use the AMC design for most components. In 91 they started using Chrysler's designs, to include the seats and brackets. Seats from a 91+ XJ won't even fit in a Renix jeep.
