Default removeable xj doors

hey guys i got a question here, id like to remove my doors of my xj and i got a good idea on how to do it with a removable pin in the hinge but my question is , is there any way to cut the wires to my window switches and apply some type of connector so that way when i remove them all i have to do is pop the connector apart where the wires run into the door , has anyone done this? if so pics? or any help with this would be greatly appericated !

They already all go to connectors behind the kick panel.

But I've also seen people using hitch connectors

And as for the removable pin idea, I would just do the hinge cutting mod and just use the factory pin. That's been the only way I've seen the doors open and close like factory

There is a write up on here for this...using connectors from a GC from a junkyard/u-pull-it...I did it and it is awesome, open doors, unplug and lift out!

sweet deal thanks guys , helps me out alot but my next question is how do you go about the hinge cutting trick and still being able to use the stock pin , was under the impression you had to cut both pins out?

Firstly, what model jeep do you have? 84-96 and 97-01 have different door hinges.

You can't re-use the factory pins on the 97+ hinges. Check out this write-up and do the "drop in" mod. The doors close perfectly with no sag and no leaks.
