Hey guys, so I'm thinking about making the doors on my XJ removable and I've seen the way most people are doing it, by cutting the stock hinges but I was wondering if it's possible to use the hinges off a CJ, TJ, or YJ and fab them up to the doors on my XJ and make it work? And if anyones done it before how did it work out?
Thanks for any help guys.

I'm sure with enough time, work and effort it could be done, but probably isn't worth it.. The Cherokee front doors weigh around 70-80lbs each I think (with all power options like mine), and I don't think the sheet metal of the door or body would be thick/strong enough to support the weight of the door when you bolted the hinge on..
I thought about looking into doing it with those hinges, but decided cutting the factory XJ hinges would be easier.
