Default Removable Doors?

I've seen some pictures of them and my buddy did it with his XJ, but I was curious what the best way would be to go about making atleast the front set of doors on my XJ removable. Something where I could just slide them up and out like a Wrangler?

Modify the door hinge there's a upper and lower arm with a pin going through remove the pin and cut the lower arm and put the pin back in from the top and do the same for the passenger but the pin presses in from the bottom so after you remove and cut the hinge arm press it in from the top and your done

Doors come off and go back on in seconds. Just attach rear view mirrors and you're golden.

Mechanical part of the mod is pretty simple with the right tools. Electrical takes a lot longer to sort out. Do you have power windows and locks, and if so how are your electrical skills.

They came off a Grand Cherokee from the pick and pull. In the how to links I posted above I believe the information is in there.

I used a military style circular Amphenol connector on the drivers door. My 91 Laredo has 21 wires -- all the controls for all the locks and windows go through there, plus the speakers and door buzzer, etc. Power mirrors and alarm would add more.

That ZJ connector is really nice. Wish I'd thought of it.

I really want some of these plugs. Are these the ones from the infinity sound system GC ? Were they under the hood or from the door jamb area ?
