remote start problem

i have a 96 cherokee iv installed a remote start system on it my problem is my tach wire from my remote start has to be hooked up theres two places it can be put its the black/gray wire on the coil or the gray/blue wire on the pcm any one ever install one of these systems ? what would be the best wire ? any help please much thanks.

What brand and model is the unit?

my unit is a readyremote (dei) by viper tech support said the coil wire but the unit wont pick up or learn the tach i tryed that this morning guess ill try the pcm later today thanks.
