Relocating shock mounts...questions

Yeah im worried about the same... Res shocks are high and someone posted extended and collapsed lengths of 4.5in shocks they wer selling... Went and measured roughly mine in stock locations and my level ride height was longer than the extended... Im gonna need long brackets or something lol...

Yeah im sitting on 4.5in springs in the rear so i was thinking maybe his measurements were wrong... But im also on 40's so bumpstops and limit straps are a duh to me... Lol... plus parking brake stuff will never be in my list to have... chocks however will be... Lol

I,ve done the Gojeep relocate, see about page 3 in Fab section, also have more pics in an album on profile. Definatly trim about 1/2 to 5/8" of the straight wall to keep the shock close to the axle (reduced leverage. I am very very happy with the results and iprovements to my ride qualtity as well as the extra clearance. The thread has some beneficial additional suggestions with regards to brace, skid etc. As a partental warning: that thread may contain blocks, ignore the blocks, the pics will demonstrate the shock objective. Takes 2-3 hours when working alone, use your jack stands and toqure your wheel nuts when finishing up. It's a rewarding project, good luck!
