Money was the issue for me on the piggy backs, I ended up with a set of shocks from a buddy that had a CJ.......I think they where for a 4.5" cj lift.......don't quot me on that though.....can't remember. Hopefully in the spring I can get a nice set along with the YJ e-brake cables and limit straps so I can get to where I want the jeep to be.

Default Shock Mount Relocate

I,ve done the Gojeep relocate, see about page 3 in Fab section, also have more pics in an album on profile. Definatly trim about 1/2 to 5/8" of the straight wall to keep the shock close to the axle (reduced leverage. I am very very happy with the results and iprovements to my ride qualtity as well as the extra clearance. The thread has some beneficial additional suggestions with regards to brace, skid etc. As a partental warning: that thread may contain blocks, ignore the blocks, the pics will demonstrate the shock objective. Takes 2-3 hours when working alone, use your jack stands and toqure your wheel nuts when finishing up. It's a rewarding project, good luck!
