Default Regearing question

I've spent the last hour searching this and thought I would just double check this before I got everything I need ordered. I am wanting to regear to 4.88 from 3.55, I know I need a carrier for my D30 and I already have that. But from what I've read, I don't need to replace the carrier in my 8.25, right. I haven't been able to find anything saying that this is required. Just wanted to make sure I understood it correctly

Thanks all

your good just need one for upfront

though 4:88s are kinda weak up front 4:56 aint that much higher but is a good bit stronger given the 30s tiny **** ring gear size

I have been considering this as well, A few of my wheeling buddies' run 4.88's and haven't had any problems since they swapped in the High Pinion from the Low Pinion they had (they're all in TJ's), but I will keep it in mind
