Anyone done a rebuild on a 98 cherokee sport stock rear axle? I need some advice. Thanks guys

 

Go to nearest axle repair shop and PAY the man what he wants to fix it. Honest no BS answer. Should cost somewhere between $500 and $1000, depending on what you mean by rebuild. And wether the Jeep sits at his shop or in your driveway.

 

1. Go to craigslist or jy and buy another one for $100 and bolt it in.
Paying some schmuck 500 to 1000 to rebuild a stock axle is dumb as ****.

 

Cheapest I've found the entire axle was at a pull your own parts scrap yard for $212. That didn't include the break system. $300 with it
