Default Rear truss

Im building a rear 4 link for my xj but my problem im running into is im using the ruff stuff truss the top of the truss sits 6 inches from the top of the axle pumpkin is it safe to run the truss that high i feel like it puts alot more leverage on the welds any input

assuming a triangulated 4 link.... How much separation do you want for your links? i would say truss height is dependent on that.

A 4 link with one upper? I'm not sure what you are describing here. Punch any numbers into a link calculator yet? Figure out where you want your links, that should decide your truss height.

Should you cut it down or not is dependent on if you can fit it all during suspension travel, and if you are happy with the numbers shown on the calculator.

How tall your truss should be is a pretty basic obstacle to overcome when tackling a project of this magnitude.

After looking at it more the truss sits level the trucks going to sit at around 5.5 6 inches when im done im already at 5.5 but running leafs i have all the arms welded upper and lower mounts made just waiting on coil buckets and coils and should be good to pull the rear end and do final welding
