Default Rear Storage Ideas?

Hey guys, wanting to build a simple tool box or something for storage for stuff in my xj. Anyone got ideas what I can do? I was thinking some simple wood box or whatever but if anyone else has better ideas or even pics that would be great. Im not trying to use up all of the back either, just someting to keep tools from moving around and such. Thanks

Check out "pitbullxj" he built a pretty sweet lookin box. It looked like it didn't take up too much space and it allowed for some pretty nice storage I thought.

I like that idea alot 01erionracing. Are they like drawer slides? And where did you get the carpet for them?

What locks them in so they don't try sliding out on the trails? Love the idea! Looks like plenty of storage space.

Those are 3/4" MDF. I use Herculiner applied on MDF. The rear LED are DOT so street legal. The draws was lock by the rear hatch so no issue on the trail.

Are the tail lights "homebrew" or are they from a company? also, only two LED systems (assuming brake and turn signal) what about reverse...

Not trying to hijack the thread (), just a quick question. Thanks!

The tail lights are homebrew and only brake and turn signal. I recently added 2 LEDs on the back of each light for the backup and 1 on the side for marker since I am ordering more LED and will post more pictures once it completed. Check my build for more detail about the tail light.
