Default rear shocks

Ok so my stock shocks are giving on me and I already have new ones but one old shock broke off the other day and the bolts are still in there. Whats the best way to get them out and mount the new ones.

Very common .

Take a punch and hammer and knock out the broken off bolts. The welded nuts on the back side will break off. Air hammer works best.

Then take wire and push through the bolt holes and back out. Fasten the thread end of the new bolt to the wire and fish it through the hole.

Make certain to use a regular washer, lock washer and regular nut(not a lock nut!)

Reattach shock with the new hardware.

Take the factory XJ sway bar axle side mounts and weld them where the top shock mount used to be... no more problems ever...
