Default rear lower shock bolt angle

Hey All,
My 2001 XJ has approx 5" of lift.
In the rear I have Zone 3" leaf packs, RC shackle relocation bracket and JKS 1" lift shackles.
Rides nice, flexes well, no problems.
Because of the bracket and shackle, the pinion already has some upward tilt, but
I have to add 4 deg shims to get my driveline angle correct for the SYE.
Even before the shims, the angle of the lower shock bolt is such that getting the shock on it is a struggle.
Once I add another 4 deg, I think it will be darn near impossible.
How have you guys gotten past this issue?
Heated and bent the lower stud, or drilled it out and used bolts instead?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I've had this issue with 4" lift. I went through a couple sets of OME shocks. Too much tilt caused the lower mount rip open... damper oil everywhere.
Bilstein shocks seem to have a more flexible rubber grommet.
You can find replacement mounts and ask a friend to weld them in. I haven't changed mine out yet.
