Default Rear lift leaf blocks?

I am adding a leaf to my rear to fix the sag in my tired springs and if I am lucky get a little lift out of it. Now my u bolts are rusty they came off ok but I want to replace them. I was at auto zone and I could buy 4 u bolts for $40 or a lift kit that has them I just need to shorten them for $30. The kit has a block in it. I bought the 1" lift block. What are the negative to these? Should I go ahead and add it? Or are they not worth anything?

I used the kit from Autozone. The little pin ontop of the blocks was to big for my leafs. So I had to shave a bit of the pin off to get it to seat into the leaf spring hole. Other than that, its a good kit.

Your gonna get bashed on for running an add a leaf and a block. Be ready. I'm running a 3" add a leaf and 1.5" block on my 98 xj and it does fine but the block will increase axle wrap.
