I have 3.5 rear lift springs and lift shackles on my xj. I'm wanting to get another 1" out of it. How can i go about getting another 1". I have a set of helper springs laying around but not sure if they would help.

Need more information to help you, like exactly what do you have on the rear now for a spring and shackle?

If its a 3 1/2" leaf just get a 1" lift shackle for it.

You could get longer lift shackles or beefier leafs. The only way to lift it one more inch without replacing any of your current parts is by using a block, and blocks suck.

Longer shackles (I have 2 inch lift shackles) or shackle relocation brackets (usually adds 1-1.5 inches depending on hole) I would like to get some shackle relocation brackets next time I get a big job....

i didn't even think about the shackle relocation brackets. I bet that would be my best route. I dont wanna use blocks because i wheel it pretty hard.

Shackle relocation brackets, you will get another 1" or so and better articulation

However, if your shackle angle is bad. I guess I would go with relocation brackets.

I guess I Just don't wheel hard because I've never been hung up on my shackles and I've never been hung up on my hitch so bad that I can't give it gas and scrape through. But personally I think you'll get hung on other things before the shackles.

Guess you have not? Me personally, I bought extended shackles, not super long but 3" longer than stock. So that is like 1.5" lift. Anyways I was beating them on everything it seemed. Almost hung me up a couple of times. So i removed them and put stock length shackles back on. But if you don't get hung up on your hitch then you won't notice shackles either. And I don't know about "hard core" but we obviously don't wheel the same places.

My shackle is straight up and down right now, so from what I have read you want your shackles at a 45 angle. So its a no brainer I need shackle relocators..

Yea it's best set back a little. Although straight is better than some of them I have seen.
