Air shocks are great for compensating for load. Not to fix saggy suspension.

Agree with all above.

Just replace the leaf springs.

Leafs will run you $75 each from Quadratec for OEM replacement springs, plus another $40 for bushings if you replace them also (no reason not to). Add in the cost of main bolts & u-bolts & you CAN do it for under $300 with shipping. Prices will vary depending on where you buy, what you buy, etc. Take a look at my leaf replacement write-up.

OEM's with bushings are cheaper on rockauto.com $86 per side.

I was going to buy mine there but their shipping FAR exceeded Quadratecs. Just on the leafs alone it was $65 compared to Quadratecs $25. $40 more in shipping?!?!?!?!?! I also needed a number of items, and Rockauto is an absolute joke on shipping (obviously). It was going to cost me like $94 bucks in shipping with them for the same stuff I got from Quadratec for $36 in shipping. I dont buy ANYTHING from RockAuto anymore because of their shipping policies. Not unless its a hard to find, expensive item and the cost of the shipping balances out to be cheaper than anywhere else.

It might be worth looking at Summit Racing as well. I've found their shipping to be better than most other places. Leaf springs are heavy, so shipping won't be cheap.

Where do you live? Maybe someone local would be willing to give you a hand.

Going heavy duty cant hurt. Might cost a little more but I dont think its excessive. I went with the regular and they are OBVIOUSLY better than what I was running. I figure if you can get 10 years out of your leafs, whats the difference, because are you really going to be driving your factory XJ in 10 years, and if so whats another set of leafs 10 years down the road. Mine were 13 years old, had 8 years of pretty hard use on them and they were flattening bad. I know Im lifting it in a year or two, so I went with regular duty. If youre keeping it stock for a while, going heavy cant hurt.

Go with HD if you tow a lot, I think they would allow you to tow more before bottoming out, but the HD one's may ride rougher, all depends on how you use it
