Default Real coil suspension conversion from leaf info/advice

Brothers hello, looking into switching from leaf springs to coil suspension for the rear of my 01 Xj. Currently have an iron rock 8 inch and have a Ford 8.8 rear end.

any advice, experience or recommendations for a good start here?

If you are using a triangulated four link, you will need to get creative with the exhaust. About the only place you can put one is up the transmission/driveline tunnel

I’m not sure what you mean, currently the rear has leaf springs, looking into how to replace with coil springs and what that will entail. My exhuast currently ends right at the Transfer case also don’t know if that matters

Just google it. There are a few kits out there. Iron man 4x4, iron rock offroad, I think Clayton, and maybe a few others. It's not a very simple DIY fab thing so if you really want to do it you'll probably be better off buying a kit or paying a shop to do it. The triangulated 4 link is how the axle is held into the Jeep since you can't just toss the coil springs in there. They hold the axle front to rear and side to side so it isn't just flopping around.

TNT has a good kit and some good pics....the rear in their kit is double triangulated....so you can see what that means and maybe even how the exhaust will be affected
