Default Read end "slides" out on turns

I have a 2001 Cherokee with 4.5 inch rubicon express lift with 31s on it. When I drive on curvy roads going about 35+ the rear end feels like it slides out for half a second then will grab traction again. Almost as if the axle lifts up on one side. The roads aren't wet. I've had this jeep for over two years now and it's never done it. Recently I've been noticing more body roll than I use to. If I slow down and go around corners it does just fine, it also does it more when I make left turns

Did you remove your rear sway bar when you lifted?

Never had a rear sway bar when I had it. I lifted it about 2 years ago and never had this problem

I would do what Tsaani said, check the rear end hardware.

I'll take a look, I found a feed online of a guy having this same issue and everyone was saying it was normal but I know this isn't normal

Define Normal though? Every car will react differently, even same year/make/model cars have slightly different driving characteristics.

My 91 is a little tail happy if I try to corner going over 30, but its a 25 year old jeep so most of the suspension is pretty worn. That's why when I do my lift I'm installing poly bushings in my leafs.

Normal is I can go 80 mph with no shaking and go 60-65 mph through a pass in Colorado no problem.

Yup - I'm on 6.5" RE front and 7 rear on 35's with no sway bar in the rear, and I'm right with your definition of normal.

Check the bushings/mounts/springs etc.

Unless.... Did you just get new/different tires/ are you running different tire pressure?

I definitely need new tires sometime soon and I'm running 33 lbs in them right now. I'll take a look at everything underneath first before anything else

what you are describing has always indicated a low tire pressure to me.

Could also be too narrow a rim for the tire.

That could be it because I did air down last time I went wheeling but ice always ran 33 lbs I'll get it though

while you're underneath looking at the rear, check the front end too..
sometimes an issue in the front can affect the way the rear reacts

Was looking under it today and noticed my shocks bushings were very bad so I put an order in for some new ones, hopefully this solves it

Any improvement? My 89' does this with brand new suspension and tires. One drop of rain/snow and I'm drifting every corner. Pretty fun actually.
