RE1600 Trackbar
I am putting on a 3inch lift very soon and i was looking at the Rubicon Express Adjustable trackbar. It says it is for a 3.5 to 4.5 inch lift. Would it push the wheels to one side too much? and do i need to get the bracket?

I personally have the 1600 bar. Put it on beginning of september. From what I see its pretty solid. I have the 3.5 lift from rubicton, sits about 4-4.5. at 3 it may work, I cant be for certain. One thing to note, it uses a heim joint, which I was told by RE that they wear and may need replaced on a yearly basis. at 30 a pop it gets to be an expensive track bar. I was unaware of that when I bought it to compliment my kit. Also it requires you to drill out the frame side bracket to 5/8 hole. if you dont have a 5/8 bit plan on dropping about 20 for that. once drilled it makes it impossible to go to another style trackbar without replacing the bracket, which could be a PITA.

NOT impossible to go to another style track bar at all. just impossible to go back to a single shear, tie rod end style track bar, which is junk on lifted jeeps anyway. Double shears come with a new bracket.

It wasn't a resounding don't buy it... it was these are things to know. I like mine a lot, and yes you can go to double shear ok. I don't know why they would come right out and day replace it every year. I'm assuming with hardcore wheeling it may be that. But daily driving and occasional wheeling I don't think would wear it like they are saying. I got mine for a good price and I'm not looking back. A thought of mine from the maintenance point of view.. once you lift it and enter that world you are taking on responsibilty and knowing there will be maint. and part replacement more occasional then it ever would be on a stocker used for commuting. That's what you get into when crossing over to the wheeling world.

I Have a used RE 1660 HD Trac-Bar that's good between 4"-6" lift but I had it on my cherokee when it was at 3" Of lift. I'll sell it cheap.
