RE 3.5" leaf pack sagging after 2.5 years?
So I've been convinced the left side of my jeep was sitting a little lower for a couple months (noticeable just by looking) and after trying to measure it (1/2" to an 1" lower) and not being able to convince myself it was off, I finally got it up on the stands to have a look. On the left side all the leafs touch where as on the right there's a bit of a gap between top too leafs (see pics)...so my suspicions have been confirmed.
Didn't really see anything in search about RE springs sagging, so did I just get screwed with a bad spring? Got them new and installed in September of 09. About 20k miles on them (23k tops?) and probably 99.9% on road as i live in eastern mass and its tough to get out around here. Never towed, and the most I have in the back is generally a small tool bag. Do these springs really only last that long? Seems like many people have 5+ years on them with no issues

i double checked all the bolts and stuff, shackles both look exactly the same. the amount of rust that has developed is also quite shocking

Should have thought to do that anyways...but I'm headed out of town for next few days and won't be able to until Thursday afternoon depending on when I get back.
What would cause a leaf to bend if so? Like I said this thing spends most of its life on paved roads

im working with bad light right now but first three are the pass side...full pic is hard to get with shade but second two are half shots, then last pic is the drivers side. I can try again later if this isnt good enough, perhaps when the sun goes down a bit more. So is the pass side main leaf bent causing it to sit higher? Oh and jack doesnt have any weight on it so springs are completely unloaded

Any pics of your leafs? Are all the leafs touching on yours? I'm sure its just a fluke since many many people have their stuff and ive found very few complaints. That's the reason i went with RE vs RC or Rusty's. Might have gone with IRO if I had seen their stuff at the time.
Somewhat disappointing...I submitted a form on their website sunday or monday night for warranty question and haven't heard back. Will have to call them tomorrow and see what the deal is.

so i talked to RE friday and then had me take some measurements...finally got around to taking them today and here's what i came up with [eye to eye length, arch height (string run from top of each eye bolt, measure up to string from top of axle tube), height at bottom of flare (running 30s), front coil height]
left side - 50 3/4", 6 7/8", 34 3/4", 15 1/2"
right side - 50 1/8", 7 1/2", 35 1/2", 15 1/2"
the guy i talked to at RE said that their tolerances were 3/4", though it was unclear what measurement/spec that was referring to. so basically he said i was right at the limit but still within tolerances so they wouldn't really do anything unless it got worse. if i wasn't an honest person i'd be tempted to call back and try to talk to someone else and give them some more liberal measurements...but that does seem a bit extreme that 3/4" height difference would be "normal." is there anything i can do to try to even them out? load up the right side with a bunch of weight for a while?
