I too have the RC track bar and I am on my third heim joint. I called RC yesterday to get another one and they said they had issues over the past year and switched to a different heim joint.

I bought mine last June, and replaced it in September and replacing it again. There is a lot of play in the heim too.

How is yours installed? Heim on the axle or at the frame? The install instructions show it at the axle, but it should be at the frame. Otherwise it is impossible to tighten the jam nut.

When I emailed RC, I told him my issue and said that I've heard this is a common issue with this trac-bar, to which he replied, "it's not very common." He is sending me another heim, though.

I have mine installed just like the instructions stated, with the heim on the axle side. I tightened my jam nut before I bolted into the axle bracket. It shouldn't be loose, especially since I've put a grand total of 8 miles on it since I had it out the other day for a front axle swap. I'd consider flipping it over to put heim on frame side, but the way the bar is set up, it's got a bend in it to account for the front differential at full flex.

I thought the bend was to clear the track bar mount on the axle for flex? Few people on here said it should be mounted with the heim at the frame.

I'm in the process of fixing the death wobble as well, and removed my front axle last week to replace some parts. The track bar was the first part I noticed that had play, followed by pretty much every thing else.

Well, it's got a bend for that too, but I mean it is bowed out and bent downward from the frame mount to go around the front diff.

So here's the update...

Got the replacement heim from RC today. Got it installed and 95% of my DW is gone. I took her for a test drive just up and down the road from where I live and hit all the usual dips and potholes in the road. It started a little wobble and then tapered off into nothing. I figure that can be cured by a proper, computerized alignment. I still plan to buy a johnny joint, but if this heim gets me to Uwharrie and back, I'll be happier than a pig in poop.
