Can anyone tell me the lenth of there rear shackel on a RC 4.5" lift kit? I bought a 4.5" kit used with full leafs and I want to make sure I have the right thing before I start my lift. Either center to center or full lenth. Thanks!

 

well there 4.5" kit didnt come with shackles. i think u mean eye-to-eye on the leaf spring right?

didnt know there aal did i always looked at there full leaf pack shackle should be 2 in. i believe

 

my bad, "gain 2 in. of lift" is what it says

 

yeah I have the 4.5'' x series 2 kit, it comes with leafs. no shackles incredibly short leafs too

add a leafs are trash.

 

Oh I see there just for the add a leaf kit. I wonder if I have something in the 6"+ range because he also gave me 2" pucks and the "total" lenth of the shackels that are on the leafs now are 6 3/4" long. But my coils are 22" long (for a 4.5" kit).

Makes sence. Should I use my stock skackels with the RC leafs then?

 

if you want just want 4.5" of lift then yes, but you wouldnt use the pucks either

 

Did you use yor factory shackels?

 

Understand, Thanks. Know I also recieved upper and lower control arms, RCX bracket kit and quick disconnects. My control arms are fixed and straight and the two lower arms have the x-flex joints. I havn't been able to find a kit that have these. Any ideas?

Long control arm full lenth 18 1/2"

Short control arm full lenth 17 3/16"

I hope so. I'll post a pic tomorrow. The kit was light gray. When I bought the kit it was already on a set of axels,that had the coils, arms, track bar, control arm lowing kit, leafs, shocks. I also grabed a motor, two trans, and some front and rear shafts for $300. He said he thought it was an older kit. My nib items such as shocks, track bar bracket, brake line kit, trans drop, quick dis, and a pitman arm will arrive tomorrow. I'm just wanting to get as much info as I can before I start the lift. Thanks for all your help!
