Default Radiator Support Crossmember bolts (Snapped)

Hi Everyone!

I REALLY need your help.

I have been rebuilding my 4.0 engine during this past year and am SO CLOSE to finishing it!
I have one stupid thing holding me back and I was hoping maybe you guys could give me some good direction on fixing this issue.

So....
2 out of the 4 radiator support bolts (that are on the far left and far right side of the radiator support) snapped.
I tried drilling it to extract it with an extractor bit but had no success. So at this point I don't know what to do.

Should I try to tap the drilled holes? If so what size tap should I use?

Here is a picture of only surviving bolt that I am talking about. Does anyone know what size and type of bolt this is? I've looked everywhere but could't find the bolt size.

Once I am able to bolt down the radiator support cross member then all I need to do is put in the electrical fan and fill her with coolant and start it up! I can't wait. I've been waiting so long to finish this project. Once it's all said and dont I am goin to do a full wright up of my journey.

Thanks a again everyone!

-Fletch

Drill those out and tap to the next size up.

Looks like you drilled them dead center.

If you want to..... drill them out going up one drill size bigger at a time untill the there's not much bolt left and then carefully clean them out carefully with a tap being careful not to break the tap.

I can pull one when I get home and to tell you the diameter and pitch.

Drill them out with a 13/64 drill bit them tap the holes for 1/4x20.

Alternate solution if that goes south. Drill them out and then refit the fresh hole with a nutzert.

You have options.

If you want to try an old trick: plug weld a nut on the screw then unscrew it while it's still hot.

If you have OCD: Drill it out and Heli-Coil it to the original threads.

If your OCD makes you alphabetize that into CDO: drill it and chase out the original threads.

If you want to flex your skills a little: Drill it out and riv-nut it.

If you just want the damn thing fixed: Drill it out and tap it 1/4-20 or 1/4-28
