Im about to install a water temp gauge in my Jeep, oil pressure is next, and I am on the fence of which method to use for mounting the sensor.

The T-fitting method in the stat housing, I've heard, will give you false readings because the coolant will become stagnant in the T and can be upwards of 20 degrees off! Can anyone confirm this for me?

I saw these upper radiator hose adapters that seem to be a bigger version of the T-fitting used in the stat housing. I think this would be a better alternative because it would always have flow over it. Anyone used something like this? Also, something I should know, what is the inner diameter of the upper hose?

Gauge cluster swap easiest way....2001 with idiot lights ?

 

2001 with a full cluster, but water temp, oil pressure, and voltage are all having problems, I'm thinking wiring in the cluster is shorted
