i slide my jeep around all the time. The biggest issue with the xj is the short wheel base and rear leafs often want to snap you back the other way and spin you around. but if you go away from the steering setup they come stock with you can calm that down a bit. Or use the old skinny pedel at the right time to counter the snap. My buddys MJ drifted and rallied better than my xj but i think it was do to the longer wheel base.
stock 4.0 ho jeeps are not fast but they arent slow either. its fun when you suprise people at the low end with the ax15 and ho combo

I found a white 95 2dr with a 5 speed, dunno which one it is yet. 2wd and super clean on the outside, mildly trashed on the inside. Sounds perfect! I read a thread on naxja last night about a chumpcar, and it went through the steps for lowering it and what not. Super easy! Well except for the 8.8 swap haha

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree, but a Ls1 or LT1 swap would do yo awesome. That is as long as you can fab the counts and such yourself. Otherwise it might get a little pricey.

Closest thing to fab tools I have is an angle grinder and a blowtorch. Plus I've already got the motor, so trying to find an ls1 or lt1 and then trying to make it fit will be a bunch more work (and money) only thing I don't have at this point is space to work and the jeep to work on, gotta convince my dad for both!
