Thinking about this summer to buy a stock cherokee and just built it for the street as a sleeper. Good idea? I'm Gonna need some ideas on it and if anyone has a jeep like this I'd like to see pictures..

ive always wanted to build a 2 door 5 speed 2wd XJ with a turbo 4.7 stroker and 4.10s... would be sweet

 

Yeah build up a sleeper this summer. Then next summer cage it and put it on coilovers so you can take it out and actually enjoy it

 

I've seen this in person several times when I lived in Md it makes the ground rumble from 200ft away

yeah I think that would be really sweet dude. I was saying to my friends it would be funny to have a Cherokee that's crzy fast and pull up next to somebody in a civic and just gun it... sucha sleeper!!! I saw one on youtube that was turbo'd and intercooled and stuff. So sick.

 

It almost seems un-American but a crazy fast Cherokee would be kinda' cool.

Anyways, sleeper XJ would be cool. I've thought about it. 2wd 4door. Stock suspension, street tires but with a lsx motor in it. Keep the exhaust quiet as possible. No one would expect it. Especially if you kept it kinda dirty lol.

 

I just thought no one around where I live really has any fast vehicles so I thought what the heck. Why not build a fast cherokee but a 4x4 so I can have 2wd when I want but also have the "full time" 4wd

A stock 4.0/aw4 XJ will obliterate most any civic on the streets... Ask me how I know

ACTUALLY... From a 25MPH roll up to about 85MPH, a stock 4.0/AW4 will run side by side with a Grand Prix GTP
