Default Quick question (picture)

I was told my CB antenna had to be grounded. Is there any way to tell if this is grounded? He said if I it is not then it will ruin my radio.

The antenna mount needs to be grounded. There should be a good metal to metal contact between the mount and the body of the jeep. Some guys like to use an additional wire to ground the mount to the body.

If you have good metal to metal contact. I don't think you'd get a good ground if there is paint in the way

"Grounded" means it carries the negative charge from the battery. The chassis, body, and all metal parts touching that are "grounded." If you have paint in between the parts, it may not conduct electricity as you need it to.

Do you have an ohmeter/voltmeter?
If so, measure the resistance between the tab you have, and any bare metal on the Jeep body/uniframe. It should read very close to zero ohms.
