Default questions about the 6.5" lift before i get it

hey guys i want to lift my jeep higher again, 6.5" this time. im going to take out the 3" kit and put a 6.5" in with 33's but...

1. i have 2 questions, the rough country says it only fits jeeps with teh np231 transfer case and i have the np242, why is that?

2. it also says it recommends slip yoke eliminator(which also only fits the np231) and longer driveshafts to eliminate vibration, so when i put a 6.5" in will i get vibrations? cuz i dont wanna spends a ton of money on driveshafts and stuff, also the jeep is my daily driver and i go about 15 miles to work one way.

As for the first question, I'm not to sure of. Your best bet would be to contact them. I've heard good things about their customer service. As for the second question, you could try a Rubicon Express Hack-n-Tap (Part #RE1801) or if you don't mind and you are capable of doing some custom work you could try this http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoSYEconversion.htm

When i get the money to re-lift, I'm going to try the custom SYE. Good luck

I'm running the RC 6.5" system. Your rough ride will come from the cheap shocks and short arms they supply with the kit. Do yourself the favor and upgrade to the now available long arms and higher quality shocks.

I'm running an NP231 so I can't help you much w/ your 242. I will however share an experience I had after installing my lift an not installing the SYE.

Better yet..I'll let the pics speak for them self....
