Question concerning lift height on an 86 XJ
Picked up an 86 XJ for parts and it has "some" aftermarket suspension components on it.
1 of the components are Skyjacker Lower control arms for the front Diff.
It retains the stock upper control arms
It also has Rancho RS5000 Shocks all around.
It appears to have some sort of aftermarket coil springs on the front too.
The rear of the jeep appears to be stock, but has a helper leaf on the spring pack.
With the components mentioned...What size lift would anyone guess to say this vehicle has.I cant understand why they would run Aftermarket Lower Control Arms, but stock uppers.

With a 4.5" or less lift you can get away with using the stock upper control arms. By the looks of the lift in your pics I would say that it is a 3-3.5 inch lift.
