Question on alternate brake soft lines
Been searching for hours, just can't find the right phrases to filter down to what I am looking for. I know I have seen it here but just can't find it again and I am sure most of they guys here who mod will know the answer immediately
What alternate soft lines can be used on an XJ? Is it the lines from the TJ or YJ or a Grand that I need to look for. Not lifting yet but none of the stores near by list having XJ lines in stock. Slightly longer lines would be ok especially if I can go 2 inches higher soon.

Most people straighten out the hard line and mount lower on frame for 3" or below lifts and keep the stock soft lines. If you want longer soft lines YJ ones are slightly longer. I've personally not used them. XJ lines (front left 17 13/16, front right 18 1/8, rear 13 1/2) YJ lines (front left 20, front right 20 3/8, rear 17 1/2). Looked them up on Oreillys using 92 XJ and 90 YJ.

X2, YJ lines are what most people use for small lifts, along with straightening the hard lines in the front.
For larger lifts like 6" people use Dakota rear lines and Chevy k1500 fronts

Thanks, I couldn't remember if it was YJ or TJ. Im not actually looking for longer lines just some that are in stock since the local shops don't keep the XJ lines on hand it seems. But since I am looking for 85XJ, maybe I should look for 2000 XJ instead, maybe those would be listed if they work.

Looking online it seems there is a break at 1990. The one for mine fits 84-85 and the 2000 fits 90-2001. The photos look the same but it lists one line for the 85 at 15.9" instead of 16.25", can't tell if the bend at the banjo is different or not.
