Push button start?
i need to do this seeing as my key is broken in my ignition...
im tired of using a screwdriver.
a killswitch hidden somewhere is better theft protection anyways.
anyone wired on to their xj?

the key problem well if you want to fix it right depending on the year there should be a small hex looking screw (sometimes black)on the side of the tumbler unscrew it if you leave the steering wheel on youll need some needle nose pliers to undo it but putting it back on is a pain this way , but go to a junk yard (if you are on a budget) and get another and slide it back in its easy I did it 3 times on my 96 and 2 on my 90.....Now if you want to make a kill switch that is easy but I would not do it you get a short and you are left hanging look for the main wire coming off of the ignition trace it under the along side of the steering coloum (usially its the thickest wire) and under the dash cut it and wire in your kill switch but it is not that easy like I just put it. I know from my 96 had the remains of a breath switch from previous owner and it kept shorting out on me it will start and some times it did not got really old after a while until I found this p.o.s under my dash tore it out and re wired it back and a year later no problems......................so far

if you want and it will make life a lot easy is do a battery kill switch (I spaced this one) ... that and you will not have to worry about excessive battery drain when you are parked I did this with my dads 72 bronco...( Its an idea)
