I sent them an email for a rough estimate. I'm 2 hours away from their shop, so whatever info I can get before would be nice then I'll just drive the Jeep down and let them work on it. I saw they do a beadlock service too, and now I'm thinking about that haha. Do/should I get frame stiffeners before the cage? I wouldn't wheel without them, but I just want to know what I need to get first. Thinking gas tank skid first, then either the cage or stiffeners.

I would do stiffeners before a cage.

He is a top notch fab guy. He does a lot of work for the SEC guys on NAXJA and probably cuts them a good deal. He built Big Booty Judy, a 6.0'd, JKU on 40's, and ORI's. It is beautiful.

Right on. I'll order those before or after the tank skid.

My ruffstuff stiffeners came in today. They are beefy. Ordered them Thursday I think. Pretty quick turnaround time.

I have SeriousOffroad long arms with his cross member. Might that get in the way of the stiffeners or anything?

I don't know how those mount but the stiffeners go from the bottom of the "frame" outside and up to the body. It will add 3/16 in thickness to the bottom and side on each rail.

I was wondering the same. My x-member fit so tight against the frame rails that there would be no way to get another 3/16 on either side. I'm thinking you would have to cut the stiffiners before and after the x-member.
What would this do to the integrity of the frame rails? I don't think welding the x-member on is an option as it would need to be removed for certain maintenance or future upgrades.

The ruffstuff facility is way more legit since they moved. The stiffeners are just sitting in a stack ready to ship

iirc the bolts for the Xmember just thread into the frame rail. Even the stud one that appears permanent. So you could take both out and go buy 4 bolts that are 1/4" longer and be just fine running the stock xmember. Unless that other one is just a stud.. Can't remember it's been awhile.

You can remove that stud and replace with with a bolt. It's threaded on both sides.

I am putting the rockhard cage in mine. It will more than protect me on a flop. Yeah at 80 mph roll over it may not work so great but that's not why I am putting it in. You guys really kill me LOL.

Why spend the money on a bolt in cage? You can get a much nicer one for your money.

Alright so I can use those stiffeners with my cross member then? I can take some pics if needed. I'm going to ask the local fab shop if they make stiffeners, but if not I'll going with Ruffstuff's.
