Bought a rear axle that already had a lock rite in it and am wondering about one particular noise I'm hearing. I know it's supposed to click when I turn and all that, so that's not what I'm wondering about. I am wondering about a very unsettling "whirring" noise I get. It only happens when I'm taking a right hand turn at 10-15mph. If I hit the gas, it goes away. So, is this normal for a mechanical locker? Springs and pins need replacing? This is my first experience with a locker so i just want to make sure I don't tear it up.

at 10-15mph, it should be a clicking sound sped up. so yeah, maybe a whirring sound.
to me an unsettling sound would be a very large bang that some get periodically when the locker unloads.
best thing to do is crack the case open and look inside. maybe spin a wheel in the air and listen to the clicking.

Cool. I thought that would be the case, I just wanted to make sure since it never happens when I turn left, only when I turn right. No bangs so that's good. I'll check it over though. Thanks for the quick reply!
