Lol... Based on proven experience!

I was not able to get that picture yesterday. Last time my server host did an update they scrambled the coding on my image site and it's not reading the database, so I'm going to have to do a lot of work to get access to all those images again. Not happy...

And as you know... most times it only requires a few seconds of application to get you back on track and pulling again.

I've contemplated this myself. I power brake often to get over stuff when I have one tire free-wheeling and it works. More effective with a limited slip, but it works with open diffs too. Being able to slow just the free tire without slowing the others would be much better. I've used the turning brakes on sand rails for gaining traction and it works quite well also. Don't let the nay-sayers dissuade you, they don't know.

It works just like a locker clutch...only it's on the other end of the axle.

Lol... So many things from the past have been forgotten... Before we say it can't be done we might want to check and make sure it hasn't already been done.

Most times it has, it's just been forgotten...

Long forgotten or never known/understood. My friends still don't understand power braking. They know it works from watching me do it, but still can't understand how/why it works. A turning brake type set-up is even more effective and totally logical, stop the free spinning tire to force power to the other one.

This is what I have to do when I get in those situations now with my open 8.25. It has always got me back on firm ground again. Funny thing I noticed about these though, for some reason they power brake and pull much better in reverse than forward, I can really feel a huge difference in the front between forward and reverse.
