I'm looking at getting some PIAA driving lights and fogs. I want white lights, I like the blue tint of the 525 series when they're turned off, and I need a slim design. Does anyone know if they have that combination? I'm looking at the PIAA site, but they use proprietary terms a lot, and I'm not familiar with them.

I don't have 525s (dual beam) but do have 520ATP, and love'em. They have metal housings vs composite or plastic, so should be pretty durable. Mine are aimed so as to augment my low beams, but add significant fill lighting with the highs on. 520s have a 40* beam pattern vs the wide 80*+ of fogs, or 15* of driving lights. I also have a pair of fog lights under the bumper.

Mine have the clear lenses and 4100K bulbs so are very white.
The 525s are the only lights on PIAAs site that has all of what you are mentioning.

Yeah, the 525s are deep. The blue lenses would filter out yellow light, so will be white.
I think there is another set of dual beams out there, IPF 930s, but they don't have blue lenses and are off road only with 100W lows and 170W highs. Very $$.
I would be more apt to go with seperate driving and fogs. The Hella Black Magic lights have a rather interesting look to them, and come in smaller 500 series or the large 1000 series.
If you're set on the PIAA 525s and I know PIAAs are excellent lights, I think you'll have to make room by cutting your grille to clear their depth.

Im not set on dual beams, im just trying to figure out my options. I really want the blue glow at night cause I love the look, but most important to me is a white light. If I can get both, that's great. If not, the beam is most important. I was looking at a set at the store and it looks like the blue glow is from the tint on the bulb. Is that right? If so, I could get any clear lens lights and put a blue-tinted bulb in, right?

Were you looking at 525s at the store or something else? The 525s have an LED that glows when the beam are off, so gives that blue glow.
If its the blue glow "for a look" and additional light as a plus, Pilot makes blue lense lights with LEDs for way less $$. Autozone carries them, and you could get seperate fogs and driving lights for about 1/2 the price (or less) than the PIAA 525s.
Hella "Angel Eyes" also have the glow ring.
I drive in rural areas with lots of deer, so am more interested in light output than "the look" for cruising urban jungles like Frederick. Having super bright auxiliary lights illuminated in high traffic areas is apt to have you signing autographs for the local LEOs.

The 525's are a special design made by PIAA and the only one to my knowledge. They are a dual beam that run on a rocker switch. They incooperate a low beam as well as a high beam. They are bright white with a blue hue, similar to a 6k HID light. When the lights are off they have a bluish LED that illuminates. I have no personally used these lights but heard nothing but good things about them. I personally am considering trying a set of these lights soon.
If you want a cheaper alternative i am running the PIAA 520 ATPs (as another member stated above) and they are totally awesome! The pattern is perfect. They shoot far like a driving light but spread left and right like a fog light. They also have a blue hue to them that is very pronounced.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the help. Function comes before form for me, but im interested in the 525s specifically because I love the look of the blue LED. I've never dealt with lights as you can probably tell. You said they're on a rocker. Is that driving/off/fog? I don't run my high beams in the city, and I wont run non-driving auxiliary lights there either, but I drive through the mountains a lot for work and for fun. Could I set up 525s for driving and 520s for fogs, or would that be unnecessary?

They are a H4 bulb with a twin light system which gives you a clear high beam and plasma ion low beam. So its High/OFF/Low
Which driving/Fog light combo to use doesnt necessarily refer to just light "type, brand, or model." A lot of it depends on where you mount your lights to get the best affect for what they are intended for. Meaning Fog lights are meant to be mounted low and wide. Driving lights should be high and tight, but not too high. There is a good thread about this on here or Jeep Forum.
To answer your question, yes you could use two 525s in the center of your front bumper on top between your headlights in front of your grill. Then mount two 520 fog lights low and wide under your bumper. Similar to the location of the stock fog lights.
Here is an example of how i mount my lights:

IMO i would go a differnet route for your FOG lights. 520s are pretty large and it will be hard to find a PROPER mounting location for a light that size. I would look into a smaller fog light design. I run with PIAA 2100 Series fog lights and they are awesome. Great light out put, cuts through fog well, slim design, and versatile mounting options.
Just my 10 cents.

Thanks again, especially for the picture. That's exactly what I was thinking. So when I get the money, I'm now thinking high and tight 525s, and a separate set of smaller fog lights low and wide. I love educated decisions.

In case anyone is interested:
Email response from PIAA Customer Service:
"If you change the bulb in the 525 you could have a clear light on high and low beam but not with the bulb that comes with it. The LED light is changeable and you can use whatever one you want in it as long as it is a 168 style bulb."
