Default Painting fenders after trimming

I'm planning on doing some light trimming to my 94 Cherokee Country tomorrow, and I then want to paint over the metal I expose or seal it somehow to prevent the paint from chipping, peeling, and rusting etc. After I'm done trimming, what should I use to coat over the fresh cut to seal the paint back up?

Thanks!

I used black rtv sealant after I cut n tucked my back ones and the front I just sanded primed and painted . Pretty much anything to seal it would work

As said above, you can pretty much coat it with anything.. but I used a spray can of Rocker Guard on mine and so far it's doing well (done about 5 months ago).

*The paint looks kinda chipped on the edges in the pic but it must be the flash..
