Default Painting Bumper

I'm getting a prerunner bumper built by a local fab shop and I'm picking it up bare metal on friday. I want to paint it with something durable, that won't chip off. I was thinking of bed lining it but I want a glossy finish. I also considered having it powdercoated but that would be too expensive. Any ideas?

I would think if you sanded it, primed it, painted it and then finished it with a clear coat it would do the job. Just make sure it sets well.

I'll probably hit the bumper with an abrasive and score it up before I lay the paint down, it should help.

Most definitely will help. You should make sure and document it and post it on the forum!

Eastwood makes an Extreme Chassis Black paint that rates very well from what I've heard and seen. I may do my roof in it because my roof is rusty and need a strong, UV resistant durable paint!

Will do! A buddy at work offered to help me install it on saturday (and usually we only have to do like 3 oil changes on the weekends) so it will be a nice smooth and easy install.
