I work at a car dealership and we had a cherokee that got traded in with a 3" lift. Shackle for the rear and coil spring spacer for the front. The rear should be nice and simple. But how much of a pain in the *** is putting that spacer in? Keep in mind, my truck is a 90' and I'm going to be needing a lot of PB, and I do not have any air tools.

Its not too bad if you rent a coil compressor from Advance or PepBoys or something like that. I unbolted the shocks and disconected the sway bar. Then jack up the truck, either by frame or bumper or sliders and thats it. If you need more room then compress the coil.

I did my lift in a weekend with hand tools, a big braker bar and a cut off wheel. I did rent a spring compressor made it so much easyer. had a easyer time doing the front. And wheel I was in there I did the sawbar links, track bar and tierod ends, Had to cut the back shackle off and that was a pain in the a##.
I just did my front this past weekend. I added 3" RC coil springs. I disconnected the shocks (If your taking these, good luck with the top bolt, same with the rear bolts), disconnected the sway bar end links (use heat). The front wouldn't drop down far enough because the LCA's were hitting the bracket on the axle, so I had to disconnect those. I also heard you may have to disconnect the tie rod ends and the trac bar, but I didn't have to as I rented a spring compressor from autozone and muscled it in with a breaker bar.
Have fun.

Yeah, just start with the shocks and sway bar as those have to be disconected for sure. Then compress the spring and see if it is necessary to disconect anything else. Make sure you have enough slack in the brakelines too.

thanks guys! I dont think the rear will be that big of a problem. And I have a friend who is going to help me with that. Its so sad, poor truck is really nice but it doesnt have a title. I was thinking about buying it for parts, but they told me to grab whatever I wanted off of it. Truck runs really good, its a shame you couldnt register it.

VIN number. A car dealer should be able to tell who it was last registered to. Was it a trade-in? Who traded it in? Was it just left there one night? Is it a stolen vehicle? The cops will be able to find out who the last registered owner is.
