I built a bastard pack out of another xj pack, using two xj packs instead of one s10 pack and one xj pack. My question is, it rides a little rough, which is to be expected, but I heard if you remove the overload spring it will be a little softer. Any truths to this?? And will it affect load carrying?? I just pack the jeep down with camping gear, no towing or anything like that. Thanks for your input!
