I don't see why he would need to, the blue tape is probably 70-80% as strong as a weld,and I think F1 cars use PVC due to its weight reduction and aerodynamic properties.
Just run a few more peices of tape and bring a little extra along if you are going to be wheeling hard.

why not put the tie rod above the knuckle?
and i really hope you guys dont think thats how he is gonna run it. it is very common to use PVC as mock up links.

Also curious about this. WJ knuckles? Why did you decide to run the tie rod UTK? What're your plans for relocation the track bar? Looks great btw.
