Default open cooling swap

I would like to know every thing from do's and donts about an open cooling swap for a 89 4.0. I have a 96 XJ to take all parts needed off of. Im sorry I have not had the time to search yet so any and all info would be helpfull. Thank you

Swap heater hoses... radiator... radiator hoses and coolant bottle... if at all possible use new radiator and heater hoses... there cheap... easy to do... if u have the extra money AT LEAST stick a new thermostat in there... I recommend a water pump as well since all the coolant will be drained... more work but doesn't cost much new...

Ya... but I recommend replacing while its apart and not only easy to get to with the radiator out but your antifreeze will be empty... so you will save that amount of money later if the water pump goes out...

See I just replaced my water pump not to long ago thats why i was asking.

the cooling bottle will need to be in a different spot than the donor, i got a aftermarket bottle and mounted it where the factory ppressure bottle was
