ok well after the rain finally let me finish taking off my drivers door i was happy as hell n looks absolutely amazing . and feels even better driving with them off
yes as soon as they came off i took a test drive lol.
well here is my ?, my door does drop a lil bit and i have to put it up a lil to close tightly, which i dont mind doing but would like to make it more snug .so what would be a quick n easy fix ??
and my 2nd ? is , what has everyone been using for pins on there doors ?
ive seen sharpies thread with cotter pins or quick disconnects which is better to use ??
3rd ? lol the door helper does it still need to be connected or can i unbolt them ?? and for the 2nd pin or hinge behind the 1 we cut do we need that also havent seen any pix with it on or with it off ??
much help on all ur comments will be greatly appreciated

and taking the doors is by urself isnt fun lol get tired holding with 1 arm n puttin pins with the other lol but yes it is do able esp when ur gf is sittin there with ur dog laughing at u doesn't help lol
I just had to realign the hinges so my door didnt sag any..pretty easy but you definitely need two people. As far as the pins go, I just went to the hardware store and bought the pins with cotter pins, but I dont bother using the cotter pin. your door is pretty much impossible to just fall off. I also put a little well on the pin to secure it to the hinge. Last, you dont need the door helper deals anymore. It just creates more of a hassle having to line those up as well when you want to go doorless and then put the doors back on....hope this helps

ya i know what u mean wyo i mean i had to mess with them a lil bc one of the torx bolts got stripped so had to take them all out to realign the hinge a lil . and for the door stopper i dont have it connected nemore i was just wondering if any one unbolts it from the door n the door jam itself ya know .

After I got my doors off, I worked on getting all the torx bolts loose so I could adjust the hinges to get any remaining play/sag out of the doors. I used 5/16" bolts cut, rounded and welded in to make it easier to align.
I ended up leaving the '2nd pin/stopper' in place. No real reason why, just didnt think much of it. With the check strap (that retracts in the door jamb), I just pushed it into the jamb enough that it doesn't interfere with the door(s) (as I have done that to all 4 doors, incase I want them connected for the winter).

Sadly I don't have my own welder right now, but I do have access to one pretty much anytime (nothing fancy though).
I'm in the process of learning to weld a little better also, as I have a huge list of things I'd love to do to the Jeep that involves welding. The welds on my pins aren't pretty, but have held up well the last few months to taking beatings lol.
