Engine swap help
I need to replace the engine in my 88 xj. Can I put a 96 long block in it and use my old FI and accessories. I have the 96 engine and not lots of dough.

yup just use the 96 long block with the renix head, sensors, ecu, exhaust, intake, and dizzy.
This thread should outline what needs to happen with the sensors since the HO block is missing the ports for the knock sensor and coolant temp sensor for the ecu (it's not hard to fix this issue)
