Never installed one but plumbed in some fittings so I could hook up a mechanical tester and run my cluster gauge at the same time.
When I got around to checking my oil pressure with the tester I wanted to see how the reading on it compared to the cluster gauge.
They read about the same.
Always assumed that you would hook up a more permanent gauge the same way.
Do you mean a complete aftermarket sender and gauge, that you will install in a spare panel somewhere? yes. I had an older boat I scrapped and had a nice Teleflex electric oil pressure gauge and sender that I installed in my 92. It too was a 0-80. I went with the more expensive electric model because I didn't want to run an oil line through the firewall and I plumbed it in like Ralph 77 mechanical gauge line. You still have to run a sender signal line from the sender thru the firewall to wherever you mount your gauge and hook up some power/ground and light wires but the instructions tell you how to do it. It was 15 or 20 years ago and don't remember exactly how I spliced in the power from?. Teleflex makes a varied assortment of gauge styles and colors to fit your needs and I spliced in the internal lighting to one of the dashboard internal light wires. Dont think I have any pictures from that far back
