Oh CR@P, did I order the wrong wheel offset.
First of all, I never order new wheels, This is something new to me, I needed some wheels so I ordered a cheap set of Trailmaster steel wheels from 4wheelparts.com. The wheels I ordered have a 3.75 offset. I never really understood what the offset was or how it worked or how to measure it. But when I mentioned to a friend I what I'd ordered, he said I screwed myself, the offset was wrong, should have been 4.25, the wheel was gonna rub something (I forget what, I think he said caliper) and now I'm a little freaked out. Can someone tell me if I'm going to be OK with a 3.75 offset? Here are the wheels I ordered. https://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/T...n=T/MTM9-5865F

the tire is going to stick out more. Definitely past the fender flare. Which is fine, unless your state has laws against that. For instance, where I live in PA, the tire must be fully covered by the fender. Cops in PA can pull you over and fine you for this violation. It’s hit or miss. Check your laws and proceed accordingly.

Damn it. I think that's going to stick out too far. How in the heck am I going to return 4 wheels that are being drop shipped and delivered by freight company?
Plans? It's a 2WD daily driver with some long highways runs, occasionally tow a boat. Will see occasional dirt road or fire trail and that's about it. Am looking into doing an UpCountry kinda thing with some new springs, but not really lifting it. I just have the nasty stock steel wheels that are on it now, local sandblaster wanted $100 to blast the steelies, then I have to dismount, and prime and paint, then get new tires, then touch up the wheels, slanted drive way and all. I said "screw it" and ordered new wheels, without thinking about offset. Has some beat 235 Firestones on it now, was planning on new 235 GoodYear Wranglers.
Going to stick out to far for your taste or because of the law?

That will make a difference maybe more than 1/2 inch in back spacing.
You may need to put different fender flares on, but it should work.
The rims are 15x8's Inch wider than stock.
Ugh, 4wheelparts has a store 108 miles away. I could always return/exchange them and order a different wheel with a 4.25 or 4.5 offset. I really didn't want to have to invest in fender flares too, not in the budget.

With 235's I don't believe you'll have a problem with clearance. In fact it'll keep your tires from hitting the lca's at full turn during some off camber situations. I had it happen when running stock rims but rarely. One thing I should mention is that I went with 7" because I didn't like the look of a 235 on an 8". It'll cause no problems though.
