yea i reallt didnt want to start a strap vs chain debate, i jyst knew there are those little things that experienced wheelers do to their jeeps to prepare it for hard trail usage. "the snorkel" thread got me thinking about it. Got me asking did i miss something thats cheap that will save me big $$$. i read something about drilling yokes and switching to ford type u joint rrtainers because the are better..żż..

thats the stuff i am getting at.

yes i am trolling i do a lit of internet surfing and pick up a few things here and the but i also know there may be someone who will see this thread and go "oh i didnt know/think about that lil $10 dollar mod that will save me hours or big money.

so post those tips and tricks up

i believe, correct me if i am wrong the rear is routed to above the fuel tank. the tranny is beside the trans dipstick and the front goes to the back of the engine on the drivers side.

Don't forget about SKIDS to protect your underbelly

TC is most exposed,
Gas tank skid
sliders

these aren't really cheap, but they are one of the first things you should get before wheeling.

(easier said than done though, I still dont have any of them and have offroaded plenty)

I agree with the sliders and Gastank skid. I wheel my Xj very hard and I have never come close to hitting my t case. But my. Sliders and gas tank skid get a ton on use
